Thank you for your interest in developing the leaders of tomorrow We hope you'll join us PACT Charter School, a Minnesota K-12 public charter school, is now accepting applications for a STEM teacher for the 2023/2024 school year. Position: STEM teacher who is licensed in the following area: Elementary Education K-5; Preferred STEM Certification or experience; other related Daily common, grade-level plan time for collaboration and PLC Highly-Qualified teacher mentors at each grade level Salary will commensurate upon experience. 1.0 FTE Benefits include health with an HSA, dental, life/ltd, TRA and PTO Optional employee elect benefits include: 403B, vision, STD, term life, accident, hospital, critical illness and telemedicine. Duties and Responsibilities: Research, develop and implement cutting edge curriculum in STEM that is reflective of PACT?s goals, is in alignment with state and national standards, and incorporates effective practices in teaching and learning. Integrate the application of ?real world? experiences and help students broaden awareness of careers (per embedded strategies/tools in curriculum). Develop and/or continuously improve STEM assessments by analyzing pre and post test results, teacher evaluations, student surveys, and standards and incorporating research Excellent skills, interest and/or aptitude in technology and/or strong desire to learn a plus. Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree and valid elementary teaching license; STEM licensure a plus Experienced in curriculum development and evaluation, STEM curriculum a plus. Education, training and/or experience in physical sciences or engineering a plus. Interest and aptitude in technology, including computers and a wide range of software. Interest and desire to learn grade-level appropriate engineering design software and applications. Technology skills required; experienced in various educational applications a plus. Ability to work with students who are culturally and ethnically diverse, who have a variety of learning styles, and who may have limited English speaking and/or writing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Deadline for application is until filled. The PACT Secondary campus will be located between Central Park in Ramsey and the St. Katharine Drexel Church property. It?s located on 161st Ave NW between Armstrong Blvd NW and Variolite Street NW. The parcel has a beautiful line of trees and wetlands and provides a gorgeous backdrop for the new Secondary Campus. Many parks and an extensive trail system are readily accessible and connected by a network of trails that link The COR to the regional parks and trail system. Many people have chosen to live in Ramsey because of its rural character, wetlands, wildlife, and housing choices. U.S. Highways 10/169 and State Highway 47 are two main routes. Northstar Commuter Rail stops in Ramsey and runs to and from downtown Minneapolis.
