Job Details Description... Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for driving corporate strategy development and execution through management of the Sales/Business Development function. This responsibility includes business development, working with the sales team to develop and deploy action plans to achieve organizational goals and drive profitable growth, training and developing staff members. Tasks Performed • Working with the RVP Business Development to develop and implement new programs, policies and procedures required for strategic organizational growth. • Working with other departments within Patriot Rail along with the executive team in driving positive results • Monitor and drive personal and team performance and progress toward organizational goals • Manage the Sales pipeline to ensure sales process efficiency (quickly identify and eliminate unrealistic opportunities or opportunities that do not match organizational goals and objectives), and ensure a balanced approach (good mix of projects that support both short term and long term organizational goals) • Help with the responsibility of planning, development, and execution of the Sales organization's daily activities and strategic initiatives • Responsible for resource deployment optimization to drive effectiveness and efficiency in the Sales process • Responsible in maintaining accurate records within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool • Seek creative terms that drive win-win solutions in attracting and sustaining customers • Prepare presentations for high-level sales and marketing efforts used to influence internal and external decisions that benefit the organization. • Receive and evaluate customer complaints and work with cross-functional teams to provide remedy recommendations that protect the organization’s brand and deliver the best possible experience to the customer. • Utilize industry organizations and other networking opportunities to assist in applying industry best practices in all operations. Mandatory Qualifications • At least 5 years of Sales & Marketing and/or Customer Service experience in the rail transportation and/or logistics industry. • Ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse organizations and individuals toward profitability objectives. • High level of attention to detail • Project and time management skills • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a large group of diverse projects simultaneously. • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams. • Ability to resolve complex problems positively and professionally • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality • Must be available for travel as required by customers and partners • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, handle objects, reach with hands and arms, write, talk, type and hear. Associate is occasionally required to sit, stoop, bend and/or kneel and lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. Associate is typically in an office environment but may travel and/or visit a warehouse or outdoor environment. • Valid Driver’s License Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in business, management, finance, economics, or related fields MBA preferred (accredited institution) Safety is the cornerstone value in our Company.
