Job title: High School Business Teacher Company: Battle Creek Public Schools Job description : Provides an educational program that meets the educational needs of student's in the area of Business Education. Provide instruction consistent with District and school expectations and which meets the educational needs of all students assigned to the teacher. Communicate with students, parents, administrators and other staff members in a manner which is consistent with District and school expectations. Maintain student records, organize resources and foster a learning environment which are consistent with District and school expectations, while maximizing student learning. Manage time, equipment, and materials efficiently and maintain a physical environment that is well organized, safe, and student-focused. Plan, prepare and implement instruction and assessment used to measure student growth. Honor and carry out the District initiatives and goals. Participate in professional development opportunities and demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning. Communicate student progress and development with parents and staff. Demonstrate creative and innovative lesson plans that contribute to a highly engaged learning community. Create a caring and nurturing learning atmosphere that allows for emotional and social growth students. Valid Michigan teaching certificate including GX Certification Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Qualifications: Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with endorsement in secondary Business (GX certification). Salary Range: $50,000 - $82,010 depending on education and experience Reporting Relationship: Reports to Building Principal SCHOOL SAFETY CLEARANCE: The successful candidate will be subject to a fingerprint and background check as a condition of employment. All fees required for this check (estimated $73.00) will be the responsibility of the successful applicant.
