We are currently seeking seasoned Legal/Judicial contract professionals with extensive experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work for Independent Contractors. Key Responsibilities • Create precise verbatim transcripts from audio recordings, ensuring adherence to established style guides. • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, especially in understanding legal terminology. • Manage deadlines effectively while delivering superior quality outputs. • Collaborate with our supportive in-office team for guidance as necessary. Required Skills • Demonstrated experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential. • Exceptional listening abilities for accurate transcription. • Strong adherence to deadlines and specific client style guides. • Outstanding literacy skills, encompassing comprehension, spelling, and grammar. • Proven typing proficiency in speed and accuracy. • Capability to process sensitive or potentially offensive audio/text content. • Familiarity with legal terminology is a must. • Court reporting students are also encouraged to apply. • Note: This opportunity is not available for residents of Massachusetts or California. Qualifications • Significant experience in legal transcription or a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word is required. • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently while processing potentially sensitive audio content.
