Skills • 5-8 years of experience in traditional WAN and LAN using Cisco products (routing, switching, wireless) and protocols • Strong understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and QoS o * 3-5 years with SD-WAN technologies • Familiarity with Palo Alto firewalls, Panorama, and GlobalProtect VPN client • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.) • Excellent customer service skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems • Ability and motivation to learn new technologies quickly • Strong mentorship and communication abilities Responsibilities • Maintain and monitor network infrastructure for availability and performance • Evaluate new networking technologies and strategies • Participate in project planning and delivery activities • Manage multiple projects concurrently, delivering on time and on budget • Respond to network and voice-related incidents, providing remediation plans • Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure operational continuity Qualifications • 5-8 years of experience in networking, particularly with Cisco products and protocols • Experience in a complex, distributed, multi-OS environment • Knowledge of monitoring software (e.g., Nagios) and load balancing technologies (F5 products) • Bachelor’s degree in IT or relevant professional certifications preferred Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in the IT field or relevant professional certifications Education Requirements Credential Category • IT field or relevant professional certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 Experience Requirements • 5-8 years of experience in network engineering with a focus on Cisco products and protocols • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex systems and mentoring junior staff Why work in Trenton, NJ Trenton, NJ, offers a rich historical backdrop combined with vibrant cultural experiences.
