Job Description About the Position As the Senior Vice President, Teaching and Learning, you will spearhead the comprehensive K-12 academic vision across all 27 regions. Your role involves overseeing the and Learning Team and ensuring student learning outcomes across our network. Reporting directly to the Chief of Schools, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive academic excellence and student achievement. Key Responsibilities and Duties Vision Setting Craft the K-12 instructional vision for all schools, driving regional curriculum and instructional initiatives. Identify opportunities for enhancing instructional practices through data-driven insights. Lead the design of high-quality common curriculum for grades 9-12. Teaching and Learning: Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Oversee curriculum implementation across all content areas and grade bands. Manage curriculum experts to support curriculum development and professional growth. Drive the implementation of a cohesive K-12 assessment strategy. Team Management Lead the Teaching and Learning Team, overseeing hiring and promotion decisions. Manage directors responsible for literacy, STEM, and diverse learners. Collaborate with regional leaders to coordinate instructional vision implementation. Professional Development Provide strategic coaching and support to regional academic leaders. Design and implement national professional development initiatives for teachers and leaders. Qualifications Skills Demonstrated commitment to education equity and passion for our mission. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on talent development. Exceptional project management skills with a keen eye for detail. Proficiency in stakeholder management and influencing for impact. Instructional fluency in K-12 content areas and a commitment to cultural competence. Experience And Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education preferred. Minimum 10 Years Of Teaching And Professional Development Experience. Extensive experience in team management and leadership. Prior Experience In Network-wide Academic Roles Preferred. Additional Information Work Conditions Travel requirement: 25-30%. Full-time exempt role. Compensation And Benefits Salary range: $240,000-$283,000. Comprehensive benefits package including parental leave, medical/dental/vision coverage, wellness benefits, retirement plan, and more.
