Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse environment. This role is crucial for maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring timely shipping and receiving... operations. Duties - Operate forklifts, including lift trucks, clamp trucks, order pickers, and reach trucks, to move materials safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse. - Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage. - Assist in inventory management by accurately tracking product movement and maintaining organized storage areas. - Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. - Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and report any maintenance or repair needs. - Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment in compliance with company policies. Requirements - Proven experience in heavy equipment operation within a warehouse setting is preferred. - Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, as well as warehouse management practices. - Ability to operate various types of forklifts, including but not limited to lift trucks, clamp trucks, order pickers, and reach trucks. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records of inventory movement. - Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. - A commitment to safety practices in the workplace, including passing any required safety training or certifications.
