- Primary engineering department contact for ATA chapters 70 through 80
- Monitor fleet powerplant operation and incorporates solutions to maintain fleet health levels.
- Build and maintain powerplant shop visit and overhaul schedules.
- Assist materials department with commercial issues related to powerplants.
- Provide technical support for Line and Heavy Maintenance to include minor repair authorizations, parts and materials substitutions, repairs and reports.
- Conduct research and data collection to aid in the development of engineering documents.
- Review Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins for applicability.
- Develop technical services data to accomplish modifications in response to ADs, Service Bulletins, SILs, etc.
- Respond to requests for technical assistance to obtain or develop approved engineering data when that data is not in the AMM, SRM, or other FAA, approved documents.
- Interact with applicable departments to define, maintain and optimize the CAMP Analysis and determine disposition all reliability issues and improvements.
- Minimize costs and aircraft out-of-service time relative to area of responsibility.
- Ensure that specifications exist for configuration control to include engineering documents for new aircraft delivery configuration and standardization.
- FAA mechanic certificate with both airframe and powerplant ratings preferred; will consider Engineering Degree in lieu of mechanic certificate
- Minimum1 year of experience in a 121 airline environment, Technical Services/Engineering Department or comparable maintenance experience gained elsewhere
- Be familiar with and have general understanding of Time Controlled Parts, Reliability Programs, FARs, Manufacturers Documentation to include but not limited to Maintenance Manuals, IPCs, Trouble Shooting Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Aircraft Drawings and CMMs, SBs, STCs, ADs and PMA parts
- Excellent communication skills
- Moderate computer and technical writing skills
- Ability to work extended hours and weekends on occasion as required by management for project completion
- This role can be based at our headquarters in Denver, CO or anywhere in the United States via a remote work arrangement (periodic travel to Denver from a Frontier-serviced city required)
