Quality Assurance Tester, Blink

We need hands-on Quality Assurance Testers to contribute to the delivery of high-quality products to our customers faster. Key job responsibilities As a Software Quality Assurance Tester on the Blink team, you should have solid in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance testing methodologies to assist with manual testing of our new products. Your testing will ensure we provide our customers with safe, reliable, easy to use products. A day in the life As a Quality Assurance Tester on the Blink team, you are expected to bring passion to utilize and grow your skills that enable you to significantly improve product quality and testing efficiency. You will be executing test plans, working closely with Development Engineers on the Mobile Development, Embedded Software, and Cloud teams providing testing support, troubleshooting issues, and contributing ideas to improve the customer experience of our products. All QA testers contribute to improvement ideas in our processes, efficiency, and accuracy. About the team Our vertically integrated engineering organization gives QA testers the opportunity to test algorithms, hardware, firmware, industry-leading AWS infrastructure, and mobile applications. As part of Amazon Devices you will have the ability to collaborate with other Amazon Devices teams like Ring, Kindle, Fire, and Echo. The Blink organization encourages QA feedback on behalf of the customer and has mechanisms in place for every team member to contribute to improving the customer experience of our products and services within each functional area of our organization. We work very closely together within our own team, usually a few QA to each project. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer with experience in manual testing - Experience following existing test plans to execute test cases - Experience gathering logs/traces for further debugging when errors occur - Experience filing valid bugs with relevant details - Experience reproducing and documenting errant component behavior - Experience escalating defects when high severity issues are discovered PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience testing Mobile Applications - Experience with test plan management tools, TestRail, Dynamics or similar - Experience with bug tracking tools, JIRA or similar - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work with technicians and engineers at all levels when troubleshooting problems Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
