Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented FEMA Specialist and Liaison to join our team! In this role, you will get to serve as the lead person, interfacing with clients, FEMA and internal Parsons staff, developing strategies to help address project needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Parsons and FEMA.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address challenges related to the disaster recovery.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure alignment with FEMA requirements and objectives.
  • Monitor and report on project progress and outcomes.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between various stakeholders.
  • Provide expert guidance on FEMA policies and procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in emergency response strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 15+ years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in emergency management.
  • Proven experience working with FEMA or similar agencies.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

  • Experience with wildfire management and response strategies.
  • Familiarity with local government operations in Los Angeles.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Periodical travel may be required
