Nurse Practitioner - Contract (1099) & Remote
We seek highly competent and professional Nurse Practitioners (NP's) with excellent communication skills and a passion for preventative medicine. The NP will be responsible for performing virtual Baseline Visits as an intake for the Curative Health Plan. The Baseline Visit is a 30 minute visit focused on keeping our new members healthy through wellness, risk-assessment and prevention. Our clinicians conduct a targeted medical history and provide a care plan that discusses vaccines, preventative screenings and lifestyle education. This is a remote contract position with the option to work anywhere within the US with an active and unencumbered TX NP license (extensions granted based on the needs of the health plan). ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtain and accurately document a thorough medical history in the electronic medical record.
- Provide education on preventative screenings and immunizations.
- Provide education on nutrition, physical activity and other lifestyle habits.
- Order and interpret labs that are offered as part of the baseline visit.
- Consult with the supervising physician regarding complex patients with urgent needs.
- Current active and unencumbered license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas
- Must have excellent communication and written skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative environment.
- Must have reliable high speed internet and a workspace that is HIPAA compliant.
- 2+ years hands on experience in a Family or Internal Medicine setting
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Ability to attend 1 week virtual orientation on 12/2, 12/9, or 12/30 (Jan dates TBD)
- 30-40 hours per week from January 2025-May 2025. We offer flexible schedules with day, evening and weekend hours.
