Job description: The Dougherty County School System is seeking a High School Math teacher to join our roster of experienced, motivated, and effective teaching professionals. - Valid Georgia Teacher certification or Charter Waiver Eligible;
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent and the Board may find appropriate.
- Ability to relate to and motivate all students in a positive manner with respect;
- Ability to effectively navigate and utilize a wide range of educational and career-related technology tools, software applications, and digital platforms while engaging students;
- Ability to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities.
- Completes all records and reports on time and with accuracy;
- Be present, organized, and enthusiastically committed to the success of all students;
- Maintains satisfactory performance on the system Evaluation Instrument;
- Performs other such duties needed or assigned by the Principal/Supervisor.
- Plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities;
- Deliver instruction using a variety of methods, including lectures, demonstrations, discussions, and hands-on activities;
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual students and accommodate varying levels of readiness and learning pace.
- Analyze assessment data to evaluate student progress and inform instructional decisions;
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance and progress;
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine assessment tools and strategies.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends, research, and pedagogical approaches in math education.
- Perform related duties as assigned as circumstances require.
- Ability to prepare and manipulate learning materials;
- Ability to stand and actively move around the classroom for extended periods;
- Ability to move between classrooms, hallways, and other school areas as needed.
- Ability to respond quickly in case of emergencies, such as evacuating students or assisting during drills
