Here, you will make an impact by:

• Globally leading a network technology (Cisco LAN and Wireless) for 3M.
• Determining network standard configurations for LAN and Wireless devices.
• Implementing standard automated network configurations across the 300 sites.
• Supporting work with external vendors to problem solve and determine device configurations.
• Being on-call and working out of hours when necessary to support network changes.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology (completed and verified prior to start)
• Five (5) years of general network (LAN, WAN & Wireless technology) management in a private, public, government or military environment
• The ability to sell complex technology ideas and strategies to senior management to secure global funding and needed project resource.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Cisco certifications in LAN, wireless, and security areas
• Knowledge of other LAN & wireless technology solutions (Juniper, Arista, Aruba etc.)
• Knowledgeable in LAN, Wireless, WAN, VOIP, DNS, DHCP, IPAM.
• Aptitude and interest to develop skills in focus areas
• Strong trouble-shooting skills, complex incident management response, demonstrated experience of problem and root-cause investigation
• Individual contributor with self-driven approach for career and skill development, and workload prioritization
• Collaborate, support, and influence strategic managed service partners and vendors.
• Partner with Site Network Services, Network Architect, Cloud, CNF & DC Network team, Network Security Team, Network PMO, IT Security organization, Area Infrastructure organizations and other global IT product teams.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset.
