- This role will be working closely with multiple business functions e.g. Plant Operations, Safety, and Environmental to understand their business needs and translate their challenges into technical solutions. This will include, but is not limited to:
- Design & develop both short-term and long-term solutions
- Build and optimize web/mobile applications for evolving business needs
- Provide support for one or more internal web applications
- Maintain communication with team members
- Code and script applications
- Perform ongoing maintenance
- Support commercial off the shelf applications (working with vendors)
- Identify opportunities and gather requirements to deliver value for business units
- Automate reporting and repeatable tasks when applicable
- Serve ad-hoc data requests as needed
- Collaborate with management, departments, and users to identify requirements and specifications
- Gatheri business requirements/analysis to create new software programs and systems
- Produce code based on requirements
- Test and deploy programs and applications
- Troubleshoot, debugg, maintain, and improve existing software
- Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
- Develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Support COTS platforms and engage with vendors to drive development priorities for enhancements and production support items
- Proactively identify issues and challenges
- Hybrid home office and open office environment.
- Some overtime is required as special projects arise.
- Minimum 5-10 years of hands-on development in web and mobile applications
- Proficiency in coding languages including Microsoft/.NET, Python, Java, JavaScript, and C++,
- Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle; Full-Stack developer
- Strong problem-solving and communications skills
- Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping frameworks
- Experience with stored procedures
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
- Proficient in SQL, able to write complex SQL to create reports and analytics
- Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team
- Experience with creating reports, pulling and aggregating disparate data for analysis/dashboards Experience creating tables, views, functions
- Skilled in Advanced Excel, power query, pivot table
- Experience with Data warehouse, Business Intelligence and PowerBI
- Knowledge of ColdFusion web developmenton
- Mobile App developer - Native, Web, and Hybrid app development on HCL/KONY mobile application development platform (MADP)
