Job description: This is a freelance, REMOTE position.Game Rant's social media team is looking for Comment Moderators to oversee and engage with comments on our Thread Articles and articles on-site. This role will involve a small daily time commitment, and is not a full-time position. Please note that this role does not involve writing articles for the website.Responsibilities may include:Moderation:
- Review of comments that may include toxic or excessively negative connotations
- Ban repeat offenders or commenters who display immediate inappropriate or problematic behavior
- Log and report terms and phrases that should be auto-hidden to Page Manager
- Advocate and encourage accurate information
- React to (like, love, haha, sad, anger) comments that contribute to the ongoing discussion of the topic/post to elevate comments
- Respond to comments to uphold engagement while ensuring accuracy
- Help Maintain critical game-data and keep our pages accurate
- Broad knowledge of major Gaming franchises
- Good spelling and grammar skills
- Familiarity with Game Rant and its social media platforms
- Experience in community moderation is a plus
- Various shifts available
- Work 5-days/week (must include weekends)
- Morning Coverage or Night Coverage
