About the position As a Pharmacy Technician in the Appeals department at Actalent, you will play a vital role in supporting Medicare and Medicaid patients, with a primary focus on Medicare cases. Your responsibilities will include processing denied Prior Authorizations by thoroughly reviewing case information, reaching out to gather additional details, and preparing cases for the Pharmacists' final determination. This position requires you to communicate directly with elderly members, addressing their concerns regarding denied medications, particularly injectables that are administered in a doctor's office. You will be expected to make outbound calls during your shifts to resolve issues and ensure patient satisfaction, making your role crucial in the healthcare process. This remote position allows you to work independently while being part of a supportive team. You will need to demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, as these skills are essential for effectively managing the complexities of patient cases.
