Job Description

We are seeking an experienced phlebotomist to join our team in Kingman. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in blood draws, specimen labeling, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontamination. This role requires proficiency in updating patient information and managing specimens according to established procedures. Responsibilities ? Perform blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, and decontamination. ? Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. ? Explain the process of venipuncture, blood drawing, and other specimen collections clearly and courteously to patients. ? Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. ? Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. ? Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. ? Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders. ? Verify test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% accuracy. ? Package specimens for transport. ? Store specimen samples according to required temperatures and place samples in appropriate collection containers/tubes. ? Accurately label specimens and follow procedures necessary for transport to maintain specimen integrity. ? Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations. ? Attend annual department trainings. ? Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries. Essential Skills ? Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment. ? Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting. ? Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. ? High School Diploma or GED. ? 5-7 years of experience in phlebotomy. Additional Skills & Qualifications ? Strong troubleshooting skills. ? Ability to train others and make workflow recommendations.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a lab or hospital setting with a fast-paced environment. Compliance with OSHA and DEP regulations is mandatory. Annual department training is required. The role may involve handling potentially hazardous materials, and appropriate safety measures must be followed at all times. Hours - M-F 7a-4p Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $24.59 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
