Lead Operations Research Scientist

Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and performance within our transportation network. Develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms to support decision-making and optimization efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights and recommendations. Design, plan, and execute experiments to test the effectiveness of new operations research solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in operations research and transportation to identify potential opportunities for improvement. Lead and mentor a team of operations research analysts to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Communicate complex technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure proper implementation and integration of operations research solutions. Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions and make adjustments as needed to ensure ongoing effectiveness. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with new operations research solutions. Develop and maintain documentation of operations research processes and procedures. Provide training and support to end-users on new operations research tools and technologies. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes to identify new areas for operations research application. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards.
