Campus Retail Associate (Part-time)

About the position The Campus Retail Associate plays a crucial role in enhancing the retail experience on campus by providing exceptional customer service and supporting store operations. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to engage with customers, assist in various retail tasks, and contribute to a vibrant college environment. Responsibilities ? Assist with processing sales transactions involving cash, credit, or financial aid payments. , ? Provide a friendly atmosphere by greeting customers and focusing on their positive experience throughout their visit. , ? Take initiative to support store operations including operating equipment and cash register while ensuring speed of service and accurate transactions. , ? Keep the store looking fresh by shelving, arranging, cleaning, and organizing products or space within the store. , ? Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold food and drinks following prescribed recipes and techniques. , ? Set up or restock displays, wrap, label, date, and rotate food items for sale. , ? Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following cleaning, sanitation, and operational standards. Requirements ? Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age to be considered for employment. , ? Previous food handling experience preferred. , ? Confident and comfortable engaging customers to deliver an elevated experience. , ? An outstanding attitude with the willingness to learn and the capability to excel in a fast-paced, team environment. , ? Basic math, keyboarding, and data entry skills. , ? Flexible availability throughout the academic year including peak periods. Nice-to-haves ? Experience in retail or customer service environments. , ?
