BOB Hotels in Tallahassee is seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance Technician to join our team of professionals. This role is integral to the success of the organization, and our Maintenance Technician will help to build the brand by being a fully contributing member, and voice, of the team. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Complete preventative maintenance for all guest rooms and public spaces according to the outlined timetable/schedule ? Respond to maintenance requests made by both the guests of the hotel and fellow hotel team members when necessary ? Maintain the grounds, landscaping, pool, and parking areas in a clean, neat, safe, and attractive manner ? Perform painting, carpentry, plumbing, carpet cleaning, and other jobs as necessary ? Maintain all storage areas, shops, vending, and mechanical areas in a clean, safe, and secure manner ? Other responsibilities will include inspections of the hotel's systems, guest rooms and hotel grounds upkeep, adherence to brand standards relating to the condition of the property, maintaining inventory, and condition of tools and materials, etc. ? Perform other duties as assigned JOB REQUIREMENTS: ? High school diploma or equivalent ? At least 1 year of general maintenance experience ? Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license ? Some experience with the following: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, paint/wallpaper, and pool maintenance ? Ability to work on your own while staying on task and completing the required workload ? Possess great organizational skills ? Some experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred ? Ability to occasionally work weekends, holidays, and on-call hours ? Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities ? Highly responsible & dependable ? Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team ? Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. and operate work-related machinery ? Familiar with basic tools necessary for repair and maintenance ? Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping ? Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays ?
