Introduction About Carbon Design System The Carbon Design System is IBM's open-source design system for products and experiences. With the IBM Design Language primitives at its core, Carbon consists of working code, design tools and resources, and guidelines-all serving, and served by, a vibrant community of contributors. Your role and responsibilities IBM Telemetry is a metrics service that helps IBM teams understand inner-source and open-source adoption and usage. The telemetry team is looking for Full-Stack Developers to enhance the service, leveraging the latest web application methodologies, tools, and techniques. You will be instrumental in helping IBM teams across the entire software product portfolio, and open-source teams like Carbon Design System, quantify reuse to efficiently deliver innovative user experiences. Required education Bachelor's Degree Required technical and professional expertise ? Experience in developing and maintaining APIs ? Basic server knowledge, including handling requests/responses ? Experience in managing relational databases (e.g. SQL) or NoSQL databases (e.g. Elasticsearch) ? Experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript ? Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GitHub ? Background in computer science or engineering ? A strong interest in full-stack development ? Able to work in a global team / good communication in English ? Ability to write unit tests in a test-driven environment Preferred technical and professional experience ? 1+ year of experience developing and shipping software products and applications ? Exposure to setting up scalable servers or applications in a production environment ? Experience with CI/CD workflows ? Experience using Agile Scrum methodology ? Knowledge of object-oriented programming ? Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, including React and Node.js ? Experience with Web Components strongly preferred ?
