Marketing Communications Manager

OVERVIEW We are seeking a Manager, Marketing Communications to lead and inspire our marketing communications team, shaping the voice of the Synapse ITS brand and ensuring alignment across all platforms. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will manage a team of four communications specialists, providing strategic direction, creative guidance, and hands-on support to develop compelling content that drives awareness, lead generation, and brand loyalty. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing high-performing teams, building scalable content strategies, and delivering measurable marketing outcomes in a B2B or technology-driven environment. This is a full-time, Remote to hybrid role based in Victoria, BC, with a salary range of $85,000-$110,000, depending on experience. YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for a team of four Communications Specialists, fostering collaboration, development, and high performance. • Oversee the creation and maintenance of product assets including data sheets, web pages, and presentation decks, and manage internal/external resources to produce product videos. • Develop and execute a cohesive content strategy that supports brand storytelling, lead generation, and buyer journey optimization. • Write and optimize website content to maximize SEO performance, improve traffic, and enhance user experience. • Work with the Digital Marketing Manager to conduct research and analyze data to inform strategic campaigns and improve conversion rates. • Partner with the sales team to generate aligned promotional content and campaigns that support revenue goals. • Lead the development of visually compelling infographics, brochures, web banners, and other marketing materials tailored to target audiences. • Oversee social media content planning and execution, ensuring messaging consistency and brand alignment. • Track and report on campaign performance and team output, leveraging analytics to improve marketing effectiveness. • Champion brand standards and tone across all external-facing communications and ensure quality control of all content. • Manage project timelines, priorities, and workflows to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals. • Collaborate with external vendors, freelancers, and creative partners as needed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field; a combination of education and experience will also be considered. • A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in marketing communications, including at least 2-3 years in a leadership or management capacity. • Demonstrated success in leading marketing communications teams and delivering integrated content strategies across digital and print platforms. • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities tailored to various audiences and marketing channels. • Proficiency in web content management systems and CRMs (WordPress and HubSpot) and analytics tools. • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies. • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. • Proven experience developing and scaling content channels including LinkedIn, blogs, and e-newsletters. • A collaborative, proactive leadership style that inspires team engagement, creativity, and accountability.
