Prevention Specialist: Teen Pregnancy Prevention
About the position The Prevention Specialist role at Recovery Resource Council focuses on providing health-promotion services aimed at preventing teen pregnancy and promoting sexual health among youth and adults in the community. This full-time position involves working with high-risk teens in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, delivering both virtual and in-person educational programs, and requires a commitment to fostering meaningful change in the lives of participants. Responsibilities Provide school and community-based health-promotion services to youth and adults. , Deliver prevention education focused on teen pregnancy and sexual health. , Facilitate day camps and other educational activities. , Engage in program marketing and documentation of services provided. , Uphold the agency's commitment to unconditional acceptance and respect for all participants. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required. , Prior experience working with youth is essential. , Strong skills in public speaking and classroom management are necessary. , Experience in team-building and activity facilitation is required. , Must have reliable transportation, insurance, and a valid Texas driver's license. Nice-to-haves Prior experience providing prevention education is preferred. , Experience with virtual classroom delivery is a plus.
