Tech7 is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure to join our team. This is a hybrid role located in Colorado Springs, CO. Our team builds and maintains an exceptionally powerful platform enabling users to address challenging real-world problems by training on disparate data sources and transferring them into actionable information. The team is deeply passionate about its mission and takes tremendous pride in our work. We work directly with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to create actionable intelligence from government and commercial sources of Space Situational Awareness data to give our intel and combat organizations the decision advantage over our near-peer adversaries. This position requires an individual who is risk-tolerant and can focus on the recovery and attribution of our systems and applications. As an SRE, you will design, build, and maintain mission critical infrastructure to meet the increasing demand for multinational space domain awareness capabilities. You'll use your experience, knowledge, and skills to ensure applications and core systems are running consistently, reasonably, and in a performant manner. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in helping our team formalize, standardize, and mature our cloud services using AWS. Job description / Duties: As a Site Reliability Engineer on our System Infrastructure Team, you will be working closely with Release Trains, Agile Teams, Security, and the rest of the Systems Team by providing and maintaining the environments needed to develop and fielding advanced intelligence capabilities. • Maintenance and configuration management of hardware and software environment. • Supporting the Desktop development environment providing cloud solutions. • Asset management and procurement. • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks within our team's products, and produce program reports/briefings for management and stakeholders. • Support multiple development teams in an Agile environment to deliver measurable performance and quality. • Build, maintain, improve, scale, and secure cloud infrastructure/resources using modern IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tooling. • Automate operational tasks when and where it makes sense. • Plan and test disaster recovery scenarios for a highly available architecture. • Collaborate with the Mission Assurance team to create and maintain security-focused tools and frameworks. • You will be a key member of the team, where the rubber meets the road, doing work that matters for some of the U.S. Government's most critical missions, and utilizing the latest technologies in Cloud Computing, AI/ML, and DevSecOps. Requirements: • Ability to communicate consistently with the gov't team and scrum team. • Requires bachelor's degree and or requisite experience. • Requires comprehensive understanding DevOps methodology and Amazon AWS knowledge. • Proficient in Go, Python, or Shell Scripting • Demonstrated experience with at least two of the following: containerization, software-defined networking, modern deployment strategies, database technologies, monitoring and telemetry tools. • Ability and eagerness to deep dive into understanding, debugging, and improving any layer of the tech stack. • Requires ability to quickly adapt and respond to change. Minimum Education / Experience required: • Bachelor's degree around STEM specialty, preferably Cybersecurity or Cloud Engineer. • 3-5 years' experience • Eligible for Top Secret clearance is required Preferred Experience: • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills • Extraordinary communication skills • Prior experience with cloud infrastructure management (AWS or other) • Experience working in Atlassian Confluence and Jira, GitLab and other dev/sec/ops tools. • Experience working in Agile lifecycle development. Salary range: Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
