Resident Technician (Two Positions)

Remote role Full-time Open position

(1) Monday thru Friday (11pm - 7am) (2) Monday thru Friday (3pm - 11pm) The Resident Technician’s primary responsibility is to assist with duties related to the overall monitoring and supervision of the residents that are in the transitional housing program. The Resident Technician also provides support and assistance to staff as needed. The responsibilities of the Resident Technician may include but are not limited to the following duties: Monitor residents that live on campus; conduct periodic house checks during shift and document activities accordingly in Communication Log. Ensure residents are in compliance with program guidelines in resident handbook. Ensure women attend scheduled activities on campus on time. Transport residents to and from designated locations as well as bus stop pick up/drop-off locations in agency vehicle. Conduct random urinalysis for residents as needed or when directed. Distribute supplies to residents, organize and sort incoming donations. Provide support to staff as needed for meeting preparation, campus meetings and site visits, and tours. Assist in coordination of resident activities as directed (e.g. cultural & recreational activities). Complete incident reports as needed for occurrences during shift. Distribute incoming mail and staff correspondence to residents. Supervise self-administered medications taken by residents. Complete new resident move-in paperwork and monitor resident move-outs upon discharge from the program. Collect data for various reports as directed and record information. Complete telephone screening questionnaires (if applicable) and provide program information to incoming callers that are interested in program admission. Represent Wellsprings within the community at meetings, workshops, or other events. Completion of different reports varies by shift. Other duties as needed. Three years work experience in social service environment (e.g., homeless services, substance abuse, domestic violence, mental health); Able to comprehend written and oral instructions; Able to communicate effectively and professionally (orally and in writing); Able to accurately complete required forms (Word & Excel) for reports; Able to organize job duties and perform multiple tasks in a changing environment; Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse cultures & populations; Knowledgeable of needs related to homelessness and services for at risk populations; Able to navigate web based programs on the computer (HMIS experience helpful, not required) Able to be firm, direct, and respectful towards residents as it relates to following program rules and regulations as well as maintaining appropriate boundaries. Additional Requirements • Able to lift 10-15lbs or less • Valid Texas driver’s license • Able to walk around the campus periodically during shift Apply Job!
