Sr Business Intelligence Engineer, Prime Video Sports Tech Ops

Description Live Sports represent the next major growth vertical for Prime Video. We're acquiring the biggest and best events like NFL Thursday Night Football, NBA, NASCAR, Premier League and Champions League for our customers and building new experiences to change the way people watch live sports! We're looking for a Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to help us build scalable BI solutions for our fast growing business. Key job responsibilities As a Sr. BIE, Prime Video Sports Ops, your responsibilities will include: - Translate basic business problem statements into specific analytical requirements. Work with internal stakeholders to define best output to meet customer needs. - Own the design, development, and maintenance of scalable self-service BI solutions for metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. - Develop domain expertise and drive major contributions to our data and research roadmap. - Prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment and matrix organization. About the team The Prime Video Sports Operations BI team's core mission is to help our partners make decisions and measure performance across a broad range of domains from content pipelines and service operations to customer journeys and product experiences. We work closely with product management, engineering, content acquisition, operations, and senior leadership to improve our services, launch new sports entertainment content and experiences, grow the business, and delight customers. It's still early days at Prime Video Sports and our team is looking ahead and building a strong foundation for the growth to come! Basic Qualifications - 10+ years of professional or military experience - 5+ years of SQL experience - Experience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data sets - Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results - Experience with AWS technologies - Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills. - Experience with theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining Preferred Qualifications - Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs - Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership - Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc. - Knowledge of data warehousing and data modeling - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $117,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
