Job description Overnight Youth Care Worker! The Direct Care Youth Worker works in a 24 hour residential program (this is not a daycare setting) and assists with assessing, coordinating, and monitoring the residential programs. Program open 24/7. Youth ages range from 10-17 years old. We are currently hiring for the OVERNIGHT shift 11pm- 7am - The pay range is $19.02/hr and up (depending on experience). Potential for increase in pay after first 90 day performance review. We want you to grow, learn, and earn!! We promote from within!! Shift hours 11:00pm-7am Responsibilities for Youth Care Worker (Direct Support Professional)
- Monitor each child's on-going activity overnight and log it every 15 minutes
- Be aware of children's habits, interest, and any special needs.
- Positively reinforce children's efforts and accomplishments.
- Ensure continuity of care for children by sharing within incoming caregiver information about each child's activities during the previous shift and any verbal or written instructions by the case worker or other professionals.
- Provide the level of supervision necessary to ensure each child's safety and well-being, including auditory and/or visual awareness of each child's on-going activity as appropriate.
- MUST STAY AWAKE and ALERT
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience for Youth Care Worker (Direct Support Professional)
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 and older
- Must pass background check and drug test
- Reliable transportation with a Valid Texas Driver's license and liability insurance
- One (1) year of experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting
