Instructional Design Intern, Sales Learning Services, Summer/Fall 2025

About The Role & Program The Sales Learning Services Instructional Design team creates, designs, develops, and maintains learning content for internal sales audiences including Disney Central and the Disneyland Resort Travel Sales Center, as well as 3rd Party Travel Industry Clients to help them sell Disney Destinations to Guests around the globe! This role supports learning content development for Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, National Geographic Expeditions, and Adventures by Disney. This internship is a full-time, six-month commitment in the Orlando, FL area from June 2025-January 2026.

What You Will Do

In this role, the selected candidate will participate in the production of learning content from design and development through implementation and evaluation! Routine projects include both online and instructor-led learning components, covering a wide range of topic areas like product knowledge, policies, or system training. Collaborate closely with peers who specialize in writing, graphic design, video production and/or web design in addition to partners, clients, trainers/facilitators and/or vendors. Implement learning theory and research processes to craft and implement learning materials that produce greater outcomes for a specific role or audience. Thinking critically to help develop and implement effective learning solutions to support internal and external partners. • Creatively providing critical learning recommendations based upon processes and ideas in adult learning theory • Responsible for leading several assigned learning content projects, scheduling design and review meetings and ensuring timelines are met • Develop reference guides, “how-to” tutorial resources, presentations, facilitator scripts, online learning experiences, instructional videos, and classroom experiences. • Shadow and assist with train-the-trainer sessions with training delivery partners and conduct after action and annual learning content reviews to identify continuous improvement opportunities Required Qualifications & Skills • Familiarity with Instructional Design and technology standard processes and has a comfort level with facilitating learning material both virtually and in person • Passion for developing engaging and creative learning content in a dynamic professional environment • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud applications • Ability to prioritize projects and work collaboratively within a growing team environment • A passion for research and compiling information in a clear and understandable way • Strong communication skills and sensitivity when handling confidential information • Knowledge of Disney Parks, Resorts, Experiences and Products Preferred Qualifications • Facilitation and presentation skills • Familiarity with eLearning development tools such as Articulate Storyline and Articulate Rise • Outstanding partnering skills, with team members at all levels within the organization • Proficiency in off-the-shelf and proprietary Disney sales and booking applications and related systems/technologies • A portfolio of previous work is highly recommended for this position. Please include a link to your portfolio on your resume Education • Junior or Senior year preferred • Major or previous coursework in Instructional Design, Learning Design, Learning Technology or related field Eligibility Requirements & Program Information Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements: • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at the time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program. • Be at least 18 years of age • Possess unrestricted work authorization Additional Information • Be compliant with The Disney Look appearance guidelines • Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2025 -January 2026 • Ability to work full time hours (approximately 40 per week) for the duration of the internship and have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session • Transportation: Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work • Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the Orlando, Florida area • Florida Housing: Limited housing opportunities may be available for Florida Based Professional Interns through American Campus Communities, for more information click here Recommendation – Print This Role Description: We encourage applicants to print a copy of this role description, so they can refer to it in the event they are selected for a phone interview.
