Remote Part Time Teacher | WFH

Job Overview Are you dedicated to fostering a love of learning in elementary-aged students? We are seeking a passionate and energetic Classroom Teacher to be part of our innovative team. In this remote, part-time position, you will lead students through an engaging STEAM-focused (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) curriculum, inspiring them through hands-on activities that promote academic success, social-emotional development, and healthy lifestyle choices. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement a STEAM curriculum that resonates with students’ interests and backgrounds. • Facilitate activities that cultivate a welcoming and organized learning atmosphere, encouraging student initiative and exploration. • Develop meaningful relationships with students, providing guidance and support that fosters both personal and academic advancement. • Establish and uphold clear expectations for student behavior and learning to maintain a structured and respectful environment. • Ensure accurate record-keeping of attendance and maintain open channels of communication regarding student progress and program objectives. • Participate in professional development through required training and meetings, sharing insights and reflections on program delivery. • Prepare thoroughly with lesson plans and necessary materials, including substitute plans when needed. Required Skills • State of Maine Teaching Certification or relevant experience. • BA/BS in education or a related field preferred. • Experience teaching elementary-aged children. • A strong passion for engaging and inspiring students in their learning journeys. • Experience working with diverse student populations, particularly those in need of additional academic support. • Familiarity with digital tools such as Microsoft Outlook, Google Drive, and Zoom. • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities. • A creative problem-solving approach and a flexible, growth-oriented mindset. • Team-oriented mindset with effective collaboration skills.
