Frontend Developer (web), SoFi Money Cyber Bank Readiness
About the position Galileo Financial Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in frontend web implementations to contribute significantly to the transformation of our Money product architecture. This role focuses on enhancing our banking core and implementing new account structures, including readiness for innovative products like Certificates of Deposit (CDs). The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maturing our central member-facing services, particularly in areas such as entitlements, permissions, and data management, which are essential for supporting integrated product offerings like SoFi Plus. In this position, you will work within a highly collaborative environment, where planning and executing through a unified campaign lens is vital due to the complexity and interdependencies of various initiatives. At SoFi, we emphasize collaboration between Product, Design, and Engineering, allowing you to be involved in the entire product lifecyclefrom ideation through building, deploying, and continual improvement. You will be part of an all-star team of talented engineers, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency. Your primary responsibilities will include working on React-based web applications alongside a cross-functional team, developing testable and accessible web applications, and collaborating with designers to identify and resolve potential implementation issues. You will also be expected to generate, enhance, and promote ideas for new projects and technologies, deliver and operate highly available and scalable services in a production environment, and communicate effectively with project leads, product managers, and other software developers across multiple projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a technical field or relevant work experience. , Experience with modern JavaScript libraries, tooling, and frameworks. , Strong knowledge of front-end technologies. , Familiarity with responsive design/development and mobile-web best practices. , Solid understanding of software design and architecture. , Experience in unit, functional, and end-to-end testing. , Experience with Node.js is a plus. , Willingness to collaborate and drive projects from inception to completion. , Affinity for solving problems and shipping impactful features. Nice-to-haves Interest in personal finance. , Experience managing personal investments or taking out loans. , Experience scaling highly available, mission-critical systems. , Full-stack experience with systems (kafka, docker, posix), databases (postgres), or front-end (javascript/typescript, react).
