Private Credit, Direct Lending Investment Professional - Associate

About the position The Associate-level investment professional at BlackRock Private Credit will be responsible for identifying and underwriting new investments, monitoring existing positions, and preparing fund performance reports. This role is integral to the US Private Capital team, which focuses on providing innovative capital solutions to US middle market companies through directly originated investments. The position requires a strong background in credit investing and the ability to work collaboratively with investment partners. Responsibilities • Research industries and companies to create detailed financial models for investment decision-making. , • Produce quality analysis of company and diligence information to support investment conclusions. , • Develop accurate and flexible financial models and scenario analyses. , • Prepare concise, accurate, and complete investment memoranda. , • Actively monitor existing portfolio names. Requirements • Undergraduate degree with a strong academic background. , • 2-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, direct lending, venture lending, or private debt investing, preferably with software and technology experience. , • Superior analytical, thinking, and communication skills, both oral and written. , • Comfortable participating in diligence meetings with senior management, portfolio companies, sponsors, and other investment professionals. , • Motivated self-starter with problem-solving skills. , • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and quickly climb the learning curve.
