Nurse LPN/Medical Assistant (PC)

Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Medical Assistants/Nurse LPNs at Compass Health Network. In response to the critical service needs of the communities we serve, we are excited to offer a sign-on bonus of (1500 for Medical Assistants and an additional )2500 for Nurses. As a key member of our person-centered integrated care team, you will play an essential role in establishing and nurturing professional relationships with patients, their representatives, and our esteemed medical staff, all while upholding the highest standards of patient confidentiality and satisfaction. Key Responsibilities • Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including taking medical histories and vital signs, and documenting these in patient charts. • Maintain and prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies. • Conduct venipunctures, urinalysis, EKGs, and other procedures as directed by medical professionals. • Administer immunizations and other injections as needed. • Manage patient prescriptions by phone and ensure accurate documentation. • Provide thorough patient education and instructions. • Ensure the maintenance and sterilization of medical supplies and equipment. • Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during minor surgeries and physical examinations. • Facilitate the scheduling of tests and treatments. • Screen and manage phone inquiries for appropriate referrals and document communications accurately. • Maintain patient files, records, and essential information. • Adhere to standard precautions and comply with CLIA and OSHA regulations. • Support the cleanliness and organization of unit facilities and equipment. • Monitor and manage the supply of medical stock and order supplies as necessary. • Participate in all required training as mandated by Compass Health and relevant accreditors. • Uphold professional ethical conduct standards in all activities. • Undertake additional duties as required to meet the clinic’s needs. Required Skills • Strong knowledge of medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Effective communication abilities with patients and colleagues. • Proficiency in performing clinical tasks, including venipunctures and administering immunizations. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Qualifications • High School diploma or GED is required. • A Practical Nursing certificate is mandatory for Nurse LPN candidates. • A minimum of two years of relevant work experience is required if a medical assistant certification has not been obtained. • At least two years of experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
