About the position The Regional Vice President for Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB) will play a pivotal role in establishing CSB as a market leader in the Medicare Supplement and individual ancillary products sector. This position is integral to a rapidly expanding business unit that is focused on executing CSB's national broker distribution strategy in collaboration with National Marketing Organizations (NMO's) and other top-tier distributors. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruiting, training, and motivating a network of external distributors and wholesalers, ensuring they achieve industry-leading results through effective business development activities. In this role, you will be tasked with prospecting, appointing, and managing agency relationships to meet sales and profitability objectives. You will develop and implement a market-level distribution strategy aimed at driving significant sales growth of Medicare Supplement and ancillary products within your accounts. Building and maintaining strong, focused relationships with distributors at all levels will be crucial to your success. Additionally, you will train both current and new National Marketing Organizations, along with their downline agencies, on our processes and procedures to ensure alignment and effectiveness. Your responsibilities will also include participating in planning and execution with internal business units to drive sales and profit growth. You will develop and execute a sales plan with each NMO partner, contributing to our corporate objective of doubling revenue over a five-year period. Staying informed about local market trends, competitive intelligence, and core product strategies will be essential to maintain a competitive edge. Furthermore, you will represent our organization at trade shows and industry events, showcasing our offerings and building our brand presence. Requirements • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience preferred, advanced degree highly preferred. , • 10 or more years' experience securing and retaining National Marketing Organizations to market Medicare Supplement and all supplemental health insurance products. , • Demonstrated critical, strategic thinking skills to drive positive outcomes with key NMO partners. , • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners, driving positive energy through influential leadership. , • Strong presentation and public speaking skills. , • Strategic thinker capable of developing long term and best in class distribution relationships.
