Job title: DEI Initiatives Coordinator/UKHC Company: University of Kentucky Job description: Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm with occasional nights & weekends as the business needs require. Job Summary The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives Coordinator will support activities related to strategic planning and project management relative to initiatives to advance the health of the UK campus, community, and Commonwealth; workforce training & development; recruitment, retention, & promotion efforts; inclusive environment, and the identification, monitoring, & collection of impact metrics. In addition to working with stakeholders across UKHC, the UK campus, and in the community, they will coordinate team communication and manage timelines and deliverables for project success. This role also provides research and analytical support for opportunity identification, project scoping, and business case development. In partnership with Marketing & Branding and Corporate Communications they will provide content and direction for communicating and marketing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Initiatives to our internal and external communities. This role will focus on the following: • Coordinate the development and implementation of recommendations for DEI Strategic Priorities/initiatives for clinical and executive leadership decision-making based on market trends and data, gaps-in-service, employee engagement results, workforce utilization results, and other community health needs and health equity opportunities • Coordinate implementation of new priority initiatives related to health equity, workforce utilization, employee engagement, and identification of impact measures for all DEI strategic priorities. disease management, holistic wellness, access and continuity of care, and/or connected technology and innovation that leverage internal expertise and align with relevant community and campus partnerships • Track, analyze and develop tools and resources for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives The position allows for occasional remote work as duties allow. The majority of the work will be on campus. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Excellent time management capabilities with strong attention to detail. Outcome-oriented, with the ability to balance competing priorities. Strong administrative and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and has the ability to work with various mapping and analytical tools. The ideal candidate will have extensive complex meeting scheduling skills, an excellent understanding of Outlook invite capabilities, and Kronos and Concur experience. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience A Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university is preferred with preference given to degrees in Business Administration, Business Management, Health Administration, or business-related field. Three (3) years of work experience in DEI initiatives & programming, executive administration, and or customer service area.
