Legacy Church - LKidz Director - Part-time (East Campus)

About the position The LKidz Director at Legacy Church is a part-time position focused on leading and managing the children's ministry at the East Campus. This role involves scheduling and coordinating volunteers, particularly prioritizing those who have recently graduated from the Next Step program. The LKidz Director will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships within the team and the broader community, ensuring a collaborative and supportive environment for both volunteers and children. In addition to volunteer management, the LKidz Director will actively participate in team meetings, communicate the vision for the LKidz Team, and develop volunteer coordinators and key leaders. The role also includes attending and serving as a leader at the LKidz summer camp, which is a critical component of the ministry's outreach and engagement efforts. The Director will ensure that Fellowship One, the church's volunteer management system, is kept up-to-date, facilitating smooth operations and communication. The LKidz Director is expected to create an engaging, fun, and safe environment for Bible teaching and interaction with children. This includes returning all communications within 24 hours and adhering to the policies and procedures outlined in the Legacy Church Handbook. The position requires flexibility, as the Director may also perform duties that support the church's subsidiaries and partner organizations as needed. Responsibilities • Schedule all volunteers in Planning Center, prioritizing the most recent Next Step Graduates. , • Build and cultivate long-lasting relationships within the team and the community. , • Recruit for the East Campus LKIDZ Team. , • Attend and actively participate in team meetings. , • Cast and communicate the vision for the LKIDZ Team. , • Develop and mentor volunteer coordinators and key leaders. , • Attend and serve as a leader at the LKIDZ summer camp. , • Ensure that Fellowship One is kept up-to-date and current for all volunteers. , • Attend Next Step graduation training for new servants. , • Create an engaging, fun, and safe environment for Bible teaching and interaction with each child. , • Return all phone calls, emails, and texts within 24 hours. , • Perform other duties as assigned. , • Adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the Legacy Church Handbook. Requirements • Experience in children's ministry or a related field. , • Strong organizational and communication skills. , • Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with volunteers and staff. , • Experience in recruiting and training volunteers. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with Fellowship One or similar volunteer management systems. , • Experience in leading summer camps or similar programs.
