Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift Position Location: This position is an on site position. Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET). Job Summary: Accountable for daily operational tasks associated with revenue cycle accounts receivable. The AR Specialist is accountable for follow-up and timely and effectively managing requests from patients, insurance payers, secondary, and tertiary payers, and prepares all non-clinical appeals. Routinely monitors and processes monthly write-offs for assigned area of responsibility. Minimum Requirements: 3 years billing experience required Certified Professional Coder required. Must be able to work on site at Sentara Patient Accounting, Military Highway office building, Norfolk, Virginia.
