The Research Analyst will provide support on a number of payment model implementation contracts, requiring experience with gathering and documenting business requirements, as well as knowledge of programming languages and the ability to query large databases. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform a broad range of qualitative and quantitative tasks to inform the design, implementation, and evaluation of Medicare and Medicaid payment models • Develop and document complex business requirements and processes • Communicate requirements to Lewin team through the development of process models, flowcharts, and technical specifications • Develop and maintain data flow diagrams including data sources, mapping, data processing and analytical steps • Translate complex requirements into materials that can be used in public facing documentation and technical assistance activities • Support Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for deliverables, working closely with internal subject matter experts • Support the development of dashboards that can be used by clients to conduct drill down analyses • Maintain a consistently high degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks • Work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a project teams • Prepare data and information for internal as well as external use, contribute to reports, and assist with project coordination tasks You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: • 2+ years of experience in a data, analytics or related role within the healthcare industry • Experience gathering and documenting business, clinical, and/or functional requirements through the development of process models, flowcharts, and technical specifications • Intermediate programming skills (SAS, SQL, etc.), with the ability to write your own moderately complex queries • Knowledge of Business Intelligence Tools (e.g. Tableau) Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with value-based payment arrangements, healthcare financial models or quality measurement strategies • Experience with T-MSIS or state Medicaid data • Solid oral and written communication skills, with ability to engage and coordinate work involving diverse stakeholders • Keen attention to detail • All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy. The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
