About The Job The Junior FP&A Analyst will be based in Houston, TX and support the FP&A team in analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in the budgeting and forecasting processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and work collaboratively across departments to contribute to the company's growth. Key Responsibilities: • Budget Support: Assist in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company guidelines. • Forecasting Assistance: Help in developing financial forecasts, including revenue, expenses, and cash flow projections. • Monthly Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly financial reports, including variance analysis and explanations of financial performance. • Data Collection: Gather and organize financial data from various sources to support analysis and decision-making processes. • Trend Analysis: Assist in analyzing financial trends and key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement. • Financial Modeling: Help maintain and update financial models used for planning and forecasting. • Project Support: Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve financial processes and systems. • Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative support to the FP&A team, including scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and maintaining documentation. Education and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. • 1+ year of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field (internships and co-op experiences are acceptable). • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial software and ERP systems is a plus. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely. • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and collaborate with colleagues across departments. • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in financial analysis and planning.
