About the position The Loan Processor at First Business Bank plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient loan processing and customer service. This hybrid position combines in-office and remote work, focusing on timely responses to client inquiries, accurate loan documentation, and effective communication with loan officers. The role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to banking policies while fostering a supportive and engaging work environment. Responsibilities • Provide timely and professional responses to emails and telephone calls in the loan department. , • Post loan payments and advances on loans, perform address changes, and risk rating changes. , • Prepare loan payoff statements and follow up on items in monthly tickler reports. , • Determine if loan requests have appropriate approvals as required by loan policy. , • Prepare and review loan documents for accuracy and completeness prior to and post closing. , • Set up and book loans to the loan system according to bank guidelines accurately and in a timely manner. , • Prepare FTM transactions, wire funds, and request cashier's checks as needed. , • Create or add to existing loan files and forward documents for editing and final review. , • Mail necessary documents for recording at the appropriate filing office in a timely manner. , • Identify and track missing or unrecorded documents and loan policy exceptions. Requirements • Prior experience in general banking, cash handling, or cash office operations is preferred. , • Banking operations experience is preferred but not required. , • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. , • Strong written communication skills and ability to analyze information and prepare reports. , • Demonstrated curiosity and self-confidence to ask questions.
