Private Tutor – Special Education

We are currently seeking several dedicated and experienced educators to provide tutoring services to special education students on site in Dallas, Texas. As a private tutor, you will work with school staff to offer in-person tutoring to special education students from k-4th grade levels at a specific school. You will have access to support staff as needed and all supplies, tools, etc. to create... effective and engaging tutoring session to your students. Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions on site to students based on their individual needs and academic goals. • Develop and implement personalized lesson plans and teaching strategies. • Assess students' strengths and weaknesses to tailor instruction accordingly. • Help students improve their study skills, organization, and time management. • Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to students, parents and Learning Tree Tutors. • Collaborate with parents, teachers & support staff to create a supportive learning environment. • Stay updated on the latest educational techniques and resources. Requirements: • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a tutoring or teaching role for special education students k-4th grade. • Excellent knowledge of the subjects/level you will be tutoring (e.g., math, ELA, science, social studies, etc.). • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with students, parents and school staff. • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles & differences. • Reliable transportation to travel to students' homes/school or agreed-upon meeting locations within Dallas. • Availability to meet consistently week to week, including daytime hours based on students' schedules. • Access to a computer and internet connection for occasional remote work (e.g., lesson planning, communication with parents, etc.).
