Position: Technology SCM Category Manager Job Type: Full-time Location: Regional (U.S. states excluding Alaska, Delaware, New Jersey, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wyoming) Work Arrangement: Hybrid (on-site and remote as per business needs) Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship Role Summary The Technology SCM Category Manager supports the Supply Chain Management Infrastructure & Services Team, specifically collaborating with the Technology Infrastructure & Services Group. This includes areas such as Network Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, Field Services, and Quality Management Office (QMO). This role involves managing high-value and complex contracts, negotiating master agreements, developing supplier relationships, and educating stakeholders on SCM processes.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier & Contract Management Serve as a trusted advisor managing a portfolio of technology suppliers. Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate master agreements, and draft statements of work (SOW). Mitigate risks and maximize supplier value to achieve business objectives. Communicate supplier performance and address concerns that may impact partnerships. Stakeholder Collaboration Advise technology teams and stakeholders on supplier agreements, including risk mitigation and contract elements. Educate internal customers on supply chain processes and best practices to align around key positions (e.g., IP, data security, liability, SLAs). Foster a thorough understanding of business requirements through collaboration with stakeholders. Strategic Initiatives Encourage competitive supplier evaluation through the RFP process to support leadership decision-making. Identify procurement opportunities using data analysis, market trends, and emerging business models. Implement and refine negotiation strategies for various technology categories and supplier agreements. Operational Excellence Manage ongoing demand planning for assigned agreements and renewals. Support multiple technical categories across diverse programs and business areas. Organize and oversee supplier communications and strategic sourcing events. Additional Duties Perform other job-related tasks as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

Required: Authorization: U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S. Work Arrangement: Flexibility to work from a regional location with occasional on-site requirements. Experience: Proven expertise in managing high-value, complex contracts and supplier relationships. Preferred Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and category management. Ability to handle 10-15 concurrent efforts, including agreements, SOW negotiations, and supplier management. Familiarity with technology procurement requirements such as IP, data security, liability, and SLAs. Excellent communication and analytical skills to evaluate opportunities and risks effectively.
