Visual Development Artist
Description: Marvel Studios is hiring a visual development artist for early development character art. Work closely with directors, production designers, art directors, and other creative leads. Develop and complete finished color scripts and production ready assets within assigned deadlines. Complete and develop environment designs and graphics. Resolve design problems with creative supervisors. Communicate progress of work to appropriate production staff. Requirements: Must be comfortable tackling a wide range of environments: organic, mechanical, architectural, sci-fi, alien, historical, contemporary, MCU etc. Must demonstrate high-level drawing and painting skills. Artists are expected to have a solid understanding of composition, value, perspective, color, shape language, and overall design. High proficiency with Photoshop is a must, and knowledge of or willingness to learn applicable design and production software and hardware. Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D modeling a plus. Strong time-management skills. Strong communication skills. Works well under pressure.
