Multiclient Bookkeeper, FT Remote with Benefits, 401k

Full Service Professional Bookkeeping and Tax Firm needs a smart, detail oriented person to fill a remote staff bookkeeping position, with the opportunity to grow beyond just monthly bookkeeping and add more responsibility and challenges as your ambition and ability advance. • Prior experience working with multiple clients in QuickBooks Online and experience with Excel is required • Great customer service is one of our biggest selling points, so being able to communicate well in writing and over the phone with staff and clients is key Do you have an accounting degree and experience in other multi-client accounting roles? The goal for this position is to grow from just handling your own clients to the point of managing a larger group of clients and a small team of 1-3 other bookkeepers and tackling some of the toughest client accounting challenges. We are a fast growing firm (adding 50-70 new bookkeeping clients a month!) that values smart, tech savvy and client service oriented professionals. We'll teach you how we like to do things but you'll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas and best practices you've learned or discovered along the way. Here’s what we’re looking for: 1. Proficient in accounting math and written and spoken English 9. Interested in moving up- looking to grow in your abilities and responsibilities 10. Accounting degree and background, well versed in accounting principles and concepts We are looking for someone with significant experience in QuickBooks Online who has experience working on multiple sets of books each month, coding transactions, reconciling and posting journal entries ideally in an accounting, tax or bookkeeping office setting. We don't do A/R, A/P posting and spend very, very little time on manual data entry (we let the software do the typing!) and have clients ranging from simple 30 minutes a month projects to much more complicated ones that require some real puzzling out! The job is full time Monday to Friday forty hours per week. The start and end time are a bit flexible- we are on the west coast but have clients across the country and internationally, so business hours in your own time zone are fine. But this is NOT a completely flexible 40 hours "whenever" position as contact with the team and clients will require that you are available during regular business hours. Salary to start DOE + Health Benefits (Medical + Dental) + 401K + Paid Vacation and Company Paid Holidays + Once per Year Offsite Company Retreat (late Oct), review at 90 days. The ideal candidate for this job has: 1. A great positive attitude and friendly personality! 2. Significant QuickBooks Online experience, and high level of skill with Excel 3. An accounting degree and prior accounting work experience 4. A general interest in working with and in a small business 5. A "do whatever it takes" attitude 6. The ability to work without supervision or regular input 7. A real desire to learn new things on a daily basis 8. A sense of personal responsibility, integrity and honesty 9. A sharp mind and a quick grasp of new concepts In the end, the best person for the job is going to be the one who can demonstrate they are well suited for the job, their ability to pay attention, learn and get things done in a timely manner and with a good attitude. Everything specific to the job can be taught (and we have a lot of training materials, including written and video) but you must be the right kind of person to start.
