Our TPO Division is looking to hire a Non-QM Scenario Desk Underwriter. ALL REMOTE POSITIONS REQUIRE A DOWNLOAD SPEED OF NO LESS THAN 50 MBPS. Job Title: Non-QM Scenario Desk Underwriter Reports To: AVP of Non-QM Operations FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: TPO Operations Division: TPO Salary Range: $90K to $100K Summary: Provides customer support to TPO, NDC, and Retail Loan Officers, Account Executives, and Brokers as a member of the Production Support team. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Provides email, online and phone support of Non-QM program guidelines, requirements, and loan scenarios as needed while ensuring inquiries are answered in a timely manner • Completes Bank Statement Analysis requests received from sales partners in Wholesale, NDC, and Retail divisions within corresponding turn times • Communicate analysis results to all stakeholder partners in a clear and concise manner that conforms with departmental standards • Coordinates the delivery and completion of Bank Statement Analyses when Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners are leveraged • Perform Quality Control testing on Bank Statement Analysis work completed by Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partners • Solid underwriting knowledge as it relates to the documenting and clearing of loan conditions • Ability to analyze complex personal/business tax returns and calculate qualifying monthly income • Assist sales partners with structuring of difficult loan scenarios • Knowledge of mortgage loan origination activities, loan programs, and regulatory requirements • Maintain proficiency in the use of TPO and NDC Portal to assist production partners when they have issues submitting requests, uploading, and accessing documents applicable to the Production Support Team • Organize and maintain facilities where completed Bank Statement Analyses and Scenario Grades are stored • Collaborate with Mortgage Sales Team and Operations staff (both Retail and TPO) on a daily basis • Review of Condominium Projects to determine eligibility with program requirements • Performs other related duties as assigned Skills: Oral Communication Skills Written Communication Skills Reading Skills Customer Service Diplomacy Math Aptitude Negotiations Organization Professionalism Presentation Time Management Computer Literacy Keyboard Skills Education/Experience: Mortgage Wholesale/ Non-QM Underwriting experience is recommended Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
