Transcriber Freelance
About the role We are looking for trained professional transcribers with excellent attention to detail and deadlines to join our team of freelancers. The content is about 60-70% educational field, with other types of work available - media, documentaries / movies, training videos, YouTube, corporate, etc. Training and support on our system is provided, as well as a large searchable Support Center. Working as an independent contractor, you have the flexibility to choose when and where you work. The Ideal candidate : Audio transcription experience (1 year full-time or 2 years part-time) Excellent typing skills with 99% accuracy A minimum typing speed of 70 wpm Transcription software (such as FTR Player or Express Scribe), professional headphones and / or speakers, and antivirus software Excellent knowledge of English grammar and punctuation Excellent proofreading skills Excellent research skills Good time management skills (be able to return projects according to strict deadlines) Open to feedback and able to make immediate corrections Previous training in transcription This is an independent contractor position and pay will be on a per audio minute basis, as is standard for the industry.
