Job Description
The Manager Warehouse 2 is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities of Warehouse Distribution Operations necessary to support the Distribution Sales Center. Based on ranking criteria of volume, number of associates, process complexity, and warehouse functions this role will manage at a level 2 warehouse distribution / combo center. What Your Day Will Look Like Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the UNITED policies and applicable laws Interview, hire, and train associates Plan, assign, and direct work Appraise performance Address complaints and resolve problems Builds positive associate morale Coordinates all warehouse distribution, loading, shipping functions, inventory control, finance, facility management, safety, and partnership with manufacturing, quality assurance, transportation, fleet, demand planning, innovation and sales teams Reviews processes and metrics to improve warehouse operations efficiencies and reduce cost Manages and maintains responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, evaluation of subordinate managers and supervisors who manage associates Analyzes key performance indicators and develops new ones for the manufacturing and distribution operations to improve efficiencies Responsible for establishing long-term and short-term goals and assists in the preparation process for Capex and operation budgets Train employees on OSHA, environmental monthly trainings and ensure regulations are being met Maintains an open-door policy and spends time talking with associates at their job on a regular basis Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management What You Need To Succeed Minimum age 18 years old Valid drivers license required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology Strong leadership and organizational skills Proven ability to coach and manage needs and concerns of multiple associates Bachelors degree (B.
