In this pivotal role, you will conduct engaging classes centered on AP English and SAT English preparation, employing effective teaching methodologies to help students build a robust academic foundation and attain high scores. Key Responsibilities • Facilitate dynamic classroom discussions that promote student engagement and critical analysis. • Design and prepare comprehensive course materials, including syllabi, assignments, and handouts. • Plan, assess, and enhance curricula and instructional methods to optimize student learning outcomes. • Maintain regular office hours to offer support and guidance to students. • Collaborate with fellow instructors to navigate teaching challenges and enhance instructional practices. • Select and acquire relevant teaching resources with the assistance of center staff and management. • Cultivate a positive learning environment that fosters student confidence and self-esteem. • Arrive well-organized and thoroughly prepared for each lecture. Required Skills • Profound knowledge of AP English and SAT English preparation. • Exceptional teaching and communication abilities. • Capability to engage students and facilitate meaningful discussions. • Strong organizational skills for lesson planning and material development. • Collaborative mindset and teamwork skills. Qualifications • A bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or higher in a relevant field. • A minimum of two years of direct teaching or tutoring experience. • Reliable transportation is necessary. • Availability during weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
