Job Overview We are excited to invite applications for the position of Sales Development Manager, focusing on Grain & Specialty Products. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while driving sales growth in your designated Midwest territory (IN / IL / IA / MO). The successful candidate will be instrumental in implementing innovative insect management solutions aimed at enhancing the grain industry. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with sales directors, regional sales managers, and business managers to achieve market development and sales objectives for grain and specialty products in your area. • Analyze market conditions and provide insightful reports to the management team. • Develop and execute effective market adoption strategies that align with our corporate vision and goals for grain and specialty products. • Build partnerships with key accounts to create strategies that rapidly increase market share. • Efficiently manage company resources, including expenses and marketing initiatives, to optimize returns on investment. • Fulfill administrative duties and reporting requirements, including quarterly reviews and monthly performance evaluations. • Represent our organization at industry associations, trade shows, and seminars, maintaining a professional image. • Gather marketplace feedback and provide strategic business insights to the sales director and business manager. • Apply S.M.A.R.T. goals in your business planning to ensure measurable success. Required Skills • Self-motivated and proactive individual with the ability to thrive independently in a dynamic environment. • Exceptional communication proficiency, both written and verbal, enabling strong relationships with clients. • Advanced presentation skills and adeptness in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity. • Strong analytical skills and business acumen, with a focus on effective planning and organization. • Proven skills in prospecting and cold calling, along with field-based marketing abilities. • High energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for market development in a fast-paced setting. Qualifications • A Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agribusiness, Agronomy, Ag Economics, Ag Education, Entomology, or a related scientific discipline. • Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience in the Life Sciences Industry or Agriculture, ideally within Agri-chemicals or stored grain sectors. • Willingness to travel up to 75% within the territory, including frequent overnight stays.
