Part-time Student Writing Evaluation Consultant/Scorer - REMOTE

ThinkCERCA is growing our benchmark evaluation service to support students, teachers, and school leaders with timely data and personalized performance feedback. We are looking for a dedicated group of experienced teachers and education consultants to score benchmark writing assessments and support students and teachers through timely data and feedback... This is an opportunity for: • Flexible part-time work: We’re looking for consultants who can offer at least 5 hours per week of scoring and feedback services during peak assessment periods (beginning, middle and end of school year), but you have the flexibility to pick projects that fit your schedule and work when and wherever you like to complete tasks by their deadlines. • Competitive pay: Item-based compensation of $1.50-$2.50 per scored assessment, expected to net an effective $20-$30/hour once you’re up to speed. • Mission-driven work: Support teachers, students, and administrators across the country with timely data and feedback to help measure student progress and guide instructional next steps throughout the school year. Here’s who we’re looking for: You are passionate about education and have an entrepreneurial spirit. You have grading and/or assessment experience and are an expert in giving feedback that focuses on praising the positive and offering actionable next steps for growth! You will have availability to take on grading projects (5 hours/week) during peak assessment periods (expected August/September, January/February, and April/May, with lighter work available outside of these windows). Here are some other qualities we are looking for: • College degree required, advanced degree preferred, preferably in English, History, and/or Education • 3-5 years of experience in a classroom, preferably teaching English Language Arts, Social Studies or History • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and time management skills • Strong computer skills with an ability to learn and navigate new programs and platforms quickly • Interest in tech innovation • Optional: ability to grade writing in languages other than English Apply Job!
