Event Coordinator (Part-Time) – Boston

Job Summary:

We are seeking a diligent, proactive, and interactive Event Coordinator to join our Boston team on a part-time basis. This role is offered by one of America’s leading event planning companies, ABC Events Inc. The selected candidate will work for under 4 hours a day, with a competitive hourly rate of $20 to $25, depending on experience.

Job Description:

As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and organizing events that will make an impact to a target audience. You will ensure events are successful and cost-effective, paying attention to budget and time constraints. The role involves networking and building relationships with vendors, suppliers, and venue owners.

Responsibilities:

1. Plan event from start to finish according to requirements, target audience, and objectives.

2. Come up with suggestions to enhance the event’s success.

3. Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers.

4. Coordinate all operations.

5. Lead promotional activities for the event.

6. Approve all aspects before the day of the event.

7. Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as event coordinator.

2. A proven track record of organizing successful events.

3. Proficient in MS Office.

4. Excellent vendor management skills.

5. Knowledge of basic recruitment practices.

6. Outstanding communication and negotiation ability.

7. A team player with leadership skills.

8. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Public Relations, Marketing or relevant field is preferred.
